*PLEASE NOTE: THIS MEMORY VERSE PROGRAM HAS BEEN DESIGNED FOR ELEMENTARY AGED STUDENTS, AND ALIGNS WITH THE SEEDS OF TRUTH ELEMENTARY CURRICULUM. SOME OF THE MEMORY VERSES FOUND IN THE SEEDS OF TRUTH PRESCHOOL CURRICULUM DO NOT ALIGN TO THIS PROGRAM. MEMORY VERSES HAVE BEEN CHANGED IN MANY OF THE PRESCHOOL LESSONS TO BETTER ALIGN WITH UNDERSTANDING OF THE LESSON FOR THE WEEK.

The goal of the Memory Verse Project is for students to build a collection of their monthly memory verses in one place so they are able to revisit them at any time!

Built into Seeds of Truth curriculum every 4 weeks there is a new focus memory verse from the Bible. Students should be given a new memory verse card that is pre-hole punched that they can decorate, reflect upon, and take home to add to their memory verse collection.

To get students started with their memory verse card collection, each child should be given (1) a binder ring (like this), (2) a “title page” cover card (included in the printable files), and (3) the first memory verse card (lesson 1.1).

Students and parents should be encouraged to add their new cards to their binder ring at home each time they receive a new one. By the end of each school year, kids will have a collection of 11 memory verses that they have committed to memory.

It is a good idea to keep a basket in each classroom with supplies (extra binder rings, extra “title page” cover cards, and extra copies of all verse cards) for students who join the class mid-year, or for students who miss the week that new cards are handed out.
